(About)
Nicoletta Zarifi (b. 1997, Athens, Greece) is a visual artist based in Athens. She has studied Film at the School of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her practice centers on analogue photography, through which she approaches each project with a distinctly cinematic perspective. Working across diverse concepts and collaborations, she adapts her visual language while maintaining a consistent aesthetic shaped by movement, atmosphere, and narrative. Her work is deeply influenced by the people she encounters and the environments she explores. Often noted for its strong sense of femininity, her imagery conveys an intimate yet powerful presence that runs throughout her practice. Her photographs are defined by the use of natural light, tactile textures, and expressive subjects. Rather than static representation, she seeks to evoke a sense of life and motion—creating images that feel as though they exist within an unfolding scene, blurring the line between still image and cinematic moment.
